Brookings artists in Bandon, OR (June 28/29, 2008)
Dale Wells and Horst Wolf, watercolorists from Brookings, were the featured artists at Bandon's 2nd Street Gallery on June 28 and 29. Gallery owner Richard Rahmlow and his manager, Susan, were most gracious hosts. In addition to the works of Wells and Wolf that were hanging at their usual spaces in the gallery, Richard had prepared two display cubes for the artists to exhibit more paintings.

Dale spent most of his time demonstrating to a curious public how he painted sunflowers, one of his favorite subjects. Horst had brought his keyboard and entertained the ever-changing crowd with his mellow brand of chamber jazz. He got his kicks out of watching people move their bodies to his rhythms. The two even sold a few works, to Richard's delight. The weather held steady, despite a forecast of rain, so the gallery had a good number of visitors despite the high price of gas.

This was the second time that Dale and Horst participated in the "Meet and Greet the Artist" events that Richard started last year. Let's hope there will be many more.
